With humour, honesty, and courage, Lila retraces the path of her early life alongside her children, revisiting sacred places and confronting intergenerational trauma.
Through Lila’s story and her children’s reflections, this film offers a unique and personal understanding of the intergenerational trauma caused by the Residential School system—part of a broader system of cultural genocide.
This is a story of reclamation, resilience, healing, and cultural renewal.
